Welcome! I want to start by saying that Instagram has been a real income booster for me in the past, especially when I was juggling the world of real estate while mommy-ing it up. So, today, I’m going to spill the beans on how I’ve managed to make a “GODyard Goody” on Instagram, along with some plans for the future and a few ideas that might work for you too.
What I’ve Done:
Hashtag Power: You’ve probably seen it all over Instagram, but using up to 30 relevant hashtags in your posts can work wonders. It’s like a virtual magnet that draws more people to your profile and sparks those valuable interactions.
Stay Responsive: Turn on your Instagram notifications! Quick responses make a world of difference in building meaningful connections with your audience, especially when you’re a busy mom.
Use the PIECE Stategy:
a. Promotion: Subtly sneak in those product mentions. If you’re talking about something you love, share your affiliate link – just blend it with the other content types.
b. Inspiring Stories: Share your personal journey or relatable tales, adding your unique twist and personality.
c. Education: From fun DIY projects to intriguing “Did you know?” facts and “How-to” guides.
d. Controversial Topics: Dive into discussions that get people talking.
e. Entertaining Content: Keep your audience smiling.
Remember, when creating content and posting on Instagram, it’s not about you. It’s about your audience!
Timing is Everything: Discover the best times for YOUR Instagram posts. Social media is like a city that never sleeps, so think globally when you post, and remember there’s always an audience somewhere in the world.
Stories Galore: Stay active on your Instagram stories that your audience can relate to and spark reactions, especially polls and interactive posts. It’s not just about engagement; it’s about connecting and understanding what your audience wants.
Ride the Sound Wave: Jump on Instagram’s trending sounds and introduce new songs you think your audience will love.
Affiliate Marketing and Partnerships: Collaborate with brands, and if you’re into content creation, create high-quality photos, videos, or stories for marketing campaigns.
I have to throw this in here: YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE A LARGE FOLLOWING on Instagram to work with companies and brands!
Selling on the Side: Using your Instagram platform to sell and promote your digital and physical products and services, promotion and selling tickets for events, webinars, and workshops that you’re hosting is a plus!
Spread the Word: Share your Instagram content on other platforms, especially in Facebook groups where it fits naturally.
Crunch the Numbers: Pay close attention to Instagram’s analytics. They’re like a cheat code to understand what your audience craves.
Shop ‘Til You Drop: Take advantage of Instagram’s shopping features to set up your shop directly from the app and tag and sell products directly from your posts.
Paid Advertising: Running ads, particularly when I was deep into real estate, definitely pumped up the traffic on my Instagram profile.
On My To-Do List:
Keep the Conversation Going: Continuing the story in your Instagram comments can create even more engagement.
Courses and Digital Products: We all have unique skills; why not share them through courses and digital offerings? I’m looking forward to course creation and utilizing the Instagram platform to promote that.
Consulting and Coaching: If you’re a pro at something, offer your expertise on Instagram in areas like social media marketing, fitness, or business development. Don’t limit yourself!
Tagging Magic: When appropriate, tag others. It’s a great way to get noticed, on other people’s Instagram profiles.
Not on My Radar, but Who Knows:
Bio Makeover: Crafting a captivating bio on Instagram that showcases your niche and how you can help. No need to be too formal – be creative!
Engage First: Commenting on other Instagram posts and responding to DMs before posting. It’s like starting a conversation before you even speak.
Video Earnings: Instagram keeps evolving, so consider making money through video ad revenue, especially if you’re into long-form content on IGTV.
Live Tips: During live broadcasts, you can receive tips or virtual gifts from your viewers, which can be turned into real money. It’s also a great idea to use Instagram Live as a great way to connect with your audience about what they want and what you have upcoming for them!
Monetizing Your Following: If you’ve built a solid following, think about charging for shoutouts or mentions in your Instagram stories or posts. It’s like renting out your personal billboard.
Subscription Services: This Instagram feature gives your audience an all-access pass to exclusive content, a sneak peek into your everyday life, or some extra-special goodies in return for a small monthly fee!
So this is all! To wrap it up here, I’d leave you with this: be consistent with PROMO, PROMO, PROMO! Always promote yourself, but be sure to keep a balance because you don’t want to exhaust your Instagram community! Switch your content up and be uniquely YOU!
